The defective remote control
The product was not working properly. Some buttons didn't work at all. Sometimes one button worked and the second didn't. I couldn't use the remote control to access channels. Sometimes the menu explorer button worked to display information about the program, but then didn't work to return to the program. The two previous replacement remote controls lasted less than a year - the connection to the internal battery seemed to be lost. Then the batteries rattled without a short circuit.
