Some of these work as a small insect repellent. I haven't seen anything attached to them, it doesn't attract very many bugs. I haven't seen anything shut down on them, it doesn't attract a lot of bugs. In a way it's good, but you can't connect anything to the other socket as there's no space when they're plugged in. and it doesn't have a swivel connector. So if your socket isn't vertical, it has to be inserted sideways when you plug it in (the sockets I have are horizontal).
