Okay, that's a milling head. And out of all the Freud pieces I've used so far, it works very well. In fact, he's only as good as you work with him, so that's going to be your problem. Think about it, you're not grooving, you're basically shaping. For my application I'm making some 8 inch baseboards that pretty much match what I currently have in my house. So, I have 8 inch boards 8 feet by 8 feet. A free transfer is almost impossible anywhere. I made a guide, but that's questionable at best, and I don't have room for the required 18 feet or so to use a router table. At the moment I'm building something like a router with a horizontal lane. It should work and only take up about 9 feet of space. If you have room for a table and the required entry/exit tables, it will do the job just fine.
