Review on πŸ”΄ Inateck KT5001 PCI-E to USB 3.0 Card: 5 Ports with Power Connector - Red by Brian Shakey

Great Upgrade for USB Transfer

This card exceeds USB 2.0 transfer speed. I've used it with Windows and some Linux operating systems. If you have an old tower PC without USB 3.0 ports that regularly backs up a few gigabytes, this card is a great upgrade. I successfully backed up about 230GB in about 45 minutes to a Seagate 1TB USB 3.0 FreeAgent GoFlex external drive that I bought a few years ago and am still happy with. I like the 5-port option (Inatech has a 2-port card, some with external power supply, others don't need it) in case I need to connect multiple USB devices to it in the future, e.g. B. a RAID storage with 2 bays. Crate. I also really like the 19-pin connector, which allowed me to add an extra card reader/USB 3.0 port in an unused floppy drive bay. I have digital cameras and mobile phones that still use microSD and SD cards. I believe the transfer speeds of some newer microSD and SD cards may be faster when using the 19-pin front bay that plugs into this USB 3.0 card. I'm also satisfied with the backlight on the front. It glows green and is always on, regardless of whether a device is connected to it or not. I would have liked it if the light only came on when the device was plugged in. However, due to a powered USB card, this front connector can work with some devices that others can't, and can charge a USB 3.0 compatible cellphone while sending/receiving data, which is nice. I don't have a USB 3.x compatible phone, but if I ever find one I like, I'll be very glad I'll surely have a faster way to transfer files from my mobile phone to my desktop. Memories spent with good friends and fun moments deserve a backup. I've lost quite a bit of data in the past and I'm glad I now have a way to transfer data faster. But being fast isn't always the best way. The slower, the more reliable the connection, the better. I will try to update this review if I ever get a cell phone that I can charge and transfer data using the 19 pin connector on this product. Thank you for reading my review. It is important that my voice is heard and hopefully heard by people who want to buy good products. The backlight and displays of some products bothered me at night or in dark places. Please keep this in mind when purchasing backlit products.
