I bought this surge protector for my living room so I don't have to worry about my new TV and entertainment system. Having kids around the house so you don't plug into outlets too much - USB ports are very helpful when I can't remember where I left my wall charger for my devices. I think this should become the standard for all outlets and surge protectors. In terms of material, it makes a fairly robust impression. Even the cable itself is quite durable. Cons: - The locking swivel mechanism feels a bit flimsy, turns very easily. In my case it doesn't matter when I placed the socket behind the TV shelf. That's all. I can't say anything about the surge protector itself because I'm lucky. But I believe there is a guarantee that covers the damage.
