I really like this pan. It heats up quickly. Its size is big for a single burner, small apartments, etc. But it's big enough to cook multiple dishes at the same time, such as: E.g. potatoes and bacon. I use cast iron a lot and know how to take care of it properly so I don't have rust etc. This is a really good buy and a great gift for someone with a small apartment. It has a certain weight, which is to be expected. Update: It doesn't lay flat on the oven rack. Fat collects on one side and oozes out. I've tried this at various times and it continues. I'm not happy with that and it's a security issue for me.
