I accidentally bought this to use with another 27" Dell monitor. I didn't realize until I plugged it in that the max resolution was 1920 x 1080 and the other was 2560 x 1440. And it wasn't that hard, and the colors were a little duller. Poorly. I'm sure this monitor will be fine as long as you don't need more than a basic monitor. Otherwise, spend the difference and get the best the first time. When purchasing for use as a second monitor, make sure it matches the resolution of your existing monitor!
