I love this flashlight. I needed something big and bright and thought I'd have to trade in "warm light" until I found this. The size is perfect for bedroom lighting. We use in the part of the living room intended for the dining table. We don't have a table there anymore, but due to the proximity to the kitchen island, I still wanted to be able to dim the lights if needed or if we decide to move the table back into the room. This light is perfect for that and looks clean and modern on the ceiling. I ordered what I wanted clear and unfinished. We didn't do anything special to train the remote control, we just added batteries. With the remote control I can not only switch between three different shades of white, but also dim each one for the right mood. I especially like the big button in the middle of the remote, which is essentially a "reset" button, so I can just press it and be back to normal no matter what settings I adjust. The night light is a bit bright for my liking, but I can see it would be handy if this light was in the hallway bathroom, even though our bathrooms are sized to be preferable to a smaller diameter. I have already given 5 stars. If I could add one thing to improve it would be a wall mount for the remote control so it's always available next to the light switch.
