My wife and I have examined several video cameras. Canon's VIXIA HG 20 reviews had good ratings and the best price compared to others. We've had it for a month now and we've used it a lot. We both agree that we made the best choice. The HG 20 fits comfortably in your hand and is easy to use. It records very clear video and stays sharp in focus even when changing subjects from close to far, when zooming, etc. This was an important feature for us as we tested another camcorder that had focus lag when zooming. The camera function is very good. We can take photos while recording videos or we can just use it as a camera. The images are very sharp for a camcorder. We have a camera, but lately it has become a bit more convenient to just shoot with a video camera. What we really like about the snapshot feature is that it captures action-packed footage without streaks. The camera function also has a built-in flash! I also like the auto-release lens cap. This camcorder easily connects to our TV, so we can watch videos on TV or easily transfer videos from camcorder to DVD. We didn't find any cons in this camcorder. For the money, this is a great buy and I think we'll be able to enjoy it for years to come, even in our fast-paced technological age.
