This is a simple wired door sensor with an armored flexible wire that can be fitted as required. I mounted the magnet to the garage door and the sensor unit to the back of the rail with a simple wooden bracket I made from scrap wood. It was wired directly to the DSC 1864, just like the DSC instructions say the wired zone should work and 'just works'. I am completely satisfied and judging by the build quality it will probably last long after the house collapses.
