Fairly good quality materials. Solid metal parts and very little plastic scrap that everything is made of lately. (The only reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 2) They lack durability due to plastic wheels and plastic shelf stoppers. If they upgraded the stoppers with rubber or silicone and included stronger metal wheels instead of cheap plastic; it would be great. I'll look for better quality wheels at a hardware store and see if that improves the overall experience with this one. It only took a few minutes to assemble, without even looking at the instructions. I found it pretty straightforward and easy. I don't consider myself mechanical, but I may have acquired the skill by assembling many other pieces of furniture. giggle
