What a disappointment. For the list price of $120 I was expecting a much nicer headset. Of course I paid $90, I was expecting a significant improvement over my Logitech G Pro (not G Pro X) headset. - high-pitched rumble with strong cracking. Rust in Modern Warfare was particularly annoying. The only focus was on high and mid frequencies. There is almost no bass. I don't like a lot of bass, but I want it to be there. - The sound stage was bad. I have an Astro TR Mixamp and I still can't find a volume I like. The 3.5mm cable is very short. The built-in volume control doesn't have much room to maneuver. I had to decide whether I wanted to burst my eardrums with high frequencies or have hearing problems at slightly lower volumes. Last year I was very critical of Steelseries Arctis 3s and Logitech G Pro. If you're looking for a mid-range headset that absolutely needs a console DAC, look no further than Steelseries. If you're looking for a mid-to-high-end headset that absolutely needs a console DAC and has a great microphone, go for the Logitech G Pro. This headset gets a 2/5 for being overpriced and underwhelming. You could do better with a range of budget-friendly turtle beaches. As soon as I can, I will return them.
