Review on πŸŽ’ Black Osprey Porter Travel Backpack by Kristen Campbell

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Decent overpriced bag, needs better lining

This is my second Osprey carry-on. But I've used several others as well and have solid experience with these. I used this on a trip to Iceland as hand luggage and backpack during the trip. The material is good, but the side panels to protect the contents should simply be removed or reduced in height by 50% as they are so stiff that the insides are difficult to access. In addition, there are no straps on the back, so it lies flat on the back and keeps you warm. You can hide the straps inside, but storing or unfolding the straps is a little awkward. Not a big deal, but the Osprey does have another pocket to store the straps under a large zipped flap, making it super easy. They also have another lace pocket on the back. In general, Osprey has other designs that are better than this design. If you frequently carry glass items in your carry-on, this is a sturdy bag to protect the contents. I find it overkill for my needs. I gave my first one to my cousin as it is a bit small. I'm 5ft 7in, 170lbs and this one fits me perfectly.

Pros
  • Two inner zippered side pockets and front organization with zippered pocket and key clip
Cons
  • Hard to tell
