Something else that might confuse you at first is that it stops intermittently as if stuck. It's just a change of attitude. It works in three patterns: zigzag, spiral, and large spiral. This happens automatically and you don't have to configure anything. Just press the power button and that's it! The noise level is similar to a sonic white noise machine. By moving back and forth, the Doppler effect creates a soothing, rhythmic sound, similar to hearing waves. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. I think the key to successful use is frequent use. I am a professional cleaner and I use very expensive high end equipment. Some of the thousands of dollar vacuums and vacuum bags we use don't clean as well as a regular upright vacuum, but you get speed and ease of use, and as long as you use them regularly they work really well. The price of this vacuum cleaner is very affordable compared to other robot vacuum cleaners and I think it's worth every penny!
