Review on Renewed Apple iPhone 8 (US Version, 64GB, Space Gray) - Unlocked and Ready to Use by Agata Buczkowska  (B ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Practical product, nothing to complain about.

The iPhone SE was upgraded to this device as a result of the purchase. It wouldn't be accurate to state that in comparison to him, the eight has become a revolutionary new piece of technology, but there are unquestionably a few advancements. Notable features of this model include compatibility for wireless and rapid charging, as well as Bluetooth 5.0 and the fact that it does not come with a charging cable by default. A few additional details on the photograph. Obtaining highly respectable photo quality during the post-processing stage is possible if you shoot using programs that support storing in the Raw format (DNG). But, taking a picture with a mobile device isn't for everyone, despite the fact that the end product can be significantly more impressive than a stock jpg. The front-facing camera obviously has a far higher megapixel count than it had on the SE, but the overall quality of the photos has not been dramatically impacted by this change; the only noticeable difference is an increase in the level of detail. In general, a worthwhile device that still manages to justify its price in some way; however, I am unable to say the same thing about models with a "monobrow." This is most likely the final iPhone to have a traditional design with a button, an appropriate screen aspect ratio of 16:9 and an IPS matrix, as well as a pleasing appearance with a lovely back panel (in my case, the colors are "space gray"). "Big frames" do not bother me very much, and in fact, I did not even consider it a disadvantage because I place a much higher priority on the convenience of use and the interior qualities of the gadget.

Pros
  • - How well you perform. It is currently redundant, and will likely remain so for a significant margin and a number of years. On the other hand, the iPhone SE was more than adequate for my needs in this regard. - Camera. The recording of videos offers a number of additional benefits. The specifications and video quality are still unrivaled by any competition; they include true 4K at 60 frames per second and optical as well as software stabilization (software stabilization, of course, works better in Full HD). The images that can be taken with this device are of a very high quality; however, they can only be saved in Raw format and then processed. The Slow Sync flash, which allows for high-quality images to be taken at night without any highlights on the subject and with consistent lighting throughout the backdrop, is an essential innovation that this model incorporates. - The Taptic Engine. Beneficial feedback from the vibrations. Using the instrument elicits a variety of new experiences. Not only is it more difficult to miss a call in your pocket when you call out after the classic SE vibration, but even during vibration, when the phone is on the table, there is no annoying buzzing, and there is hardly no vibration sound at all. - 3D touch. A extremely useful technology that has been undervalued by the firm, as seen by the fact that, since its introduction in 2022, very nothing has been done to hone its capabilities. And there are whispers that Apple has plans to completely ditch it in the near future. - Touch "button," as a consequence of the interaction between the two prior points, in conjunction with Touch ID of the second generation. The touch button was even more convenient than the physical one, and the almost quick touch unlock after the iPhone SE also delivers a nice experience to the user. - The degree of ergonomic friendliness and condensed size. Although it cannot be compared to the ease of use offered by the SE model, it is still possible to use the gadget with just one hand and to conceal it in a pocket. - One of the best IPS matrices with an appropriate amount of DPI and, as a consequence, a reasonable resolution without the need to push large numbers in the screen resolution settings, which results in less strain on the hardware and the battery. When I first started using True Tone, I didn't think much of the function that allowed me to adjust the white balance based on the lighting in the room. However, as soon as I disabled the feature, I realized how useful it was.
Cons
  • The quality of the camera's jpegs is the most significant and significant negative overall. The first thing that grabs your attention is how a potentially good photo may be transformed into a spooky painting by using extreme noise reduction. There are also frequent highlights, dips in the shadows, bulging contrast, and overestimated contour sharpness. All of these issues are present. Because of this "vinaigrette" method of processing, faces in particular are particularly revolting. The quality of the video captured by the smartphone, and particularly the quality of the images captured in Raw format, is further evidence that the matrix found in the smartphone is of a very high caliber. However, processing the image using the stock camera application or any other application that saves images in jpeg (the software processing procedures are not dependent on the application) merely destroys the photo. Naturally, the processing of any smartphone may experience certain bottlenecks; while, as a general rule, this is simply a "blurring" of noise, in the case of such a nightmare as this, you will still need to look. Therefore, any iPhone from the model range that will be available in 2022 is categorically not suitable for those who want to buy a photo flagship for the purpose of "pointing, shooting, and getting results." This describes the vast majority of people who buy a smartphone in order to use it as a mobile camera. If all that is needed is a photo for social networks or to view a photo on the screen of a smartphone, then this quality may be sufficient. - The available memory in the RAM. It should be noted that although 2 GB of storage space on an iOS device is sufficient at the present time, it is unknown how long or, more accurately, to what version of iOS this situation will last. It is my opinion that the manufacturer could put three gigabytes of memory in a 2022 model and yet maintain the same level of performance. - No tiny jack. Apple is to blame for this revolting new standard. To this day, there is no such thing as wireless headphones that have a respectable sound quality. Also, the audio route of iPhones equipped with this connector was of a very high quality, particularly when a third-party soft player was used. - Only support for video recording with the front facing camera at 30 frames per second. The manufacturer had the capability to include the ability to capture video in Full HD at a frame rate of 60 frames per second, but they did not do it until the 2022 versions.
