I bought 2 of these because my dog sometimes stays with my friend. I have another brand here in my bedroom but I wanted to use it in the kitchen. So I put them in the kitchen. He learned very quickly (on the first day) to use the ones in my bedroom. He already knew the touch command. HOWEVER, this brand is not that sensitive and after touching the device about 15 times, it refused. He weighs about 20 pounds, and unless his nails are tucked away so the pad is touching the device, it doesn't ring. He doesn't like touching his nose, although he's tried, he barely touches it, so it doesn't work. A larger dog or a dog with retracted claws will do.
