This is the perfect solution when trying to install a 2.5" laptop sized SSD or hard drive in a machine with a proprietary mount like Dell Optiplex or HP. Large enterprises typically use sleds that snap onto a standard 3.5" hard drive, and the cables are typically ONLY long enough or in just the right place to go to the SATA power or data cables inside the to get to the machine. With this solution, your 2.5" drive fits perfectly in the 3.5" spot and has the same brackets and screw holes as the larger 3.5" drive. Works great and the throughput is very high. Highly recommended for such situations!
