Review on Soldering Insulation Position Computer DCM 01A by Xiaomeng Chang

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Organizes tools and small screws. Protection against soldering burns on the work surface.

This repair mat and tool kit has everything I need to change the battery on my battery powered watch. The small screwdrivers are magnetic so they will hold the screws as you move them into the appropriate screw holes. I've never had good tweezers. What difference does it make that the angled tweezers from the kit helped pick up the tiny parts of the watch to fit them back into the watch properly. The packaging of the silicone mat warned of the possible strong smell of silicone when removing the plastic packaging for the first time. I didn't notice any smell from what I got. The mat is very flexible, has enough weight to hold its position, the silicone material it is made of resists movement and the mat lays flat even when stored rolled up. Desktop for my watch battery replacement project, I noticed that it's slightly magnetic and the pocket grid in the top right corner is perfect for keeping the small screws in the same position that they were removed. The screw locking net is especially convenient for iPhone screws. They vary in length and need to be reinstalled in the same place on the iPhone where they were deleted. I wish I had had this mat and tool kit a few months ago when I was changing the battery in my wife's iPhone 7. During this project I lost one of the screws from her phone. Also, for this project, I didn't have the phone back removal tools that came with this mat, so removing the back cover of the iPhone took a lot of time and effort. The pad can withstand temperatures of up to 932°F, well below the melting point of solder. It will come in handy to protect my wood workbench while I work on my next ham radio project. This project mat is just what I needed for my engineering repair projects.
