Affordable insurance to protect your expensive rims from damage

I'm not a professional mechanic, but I do basic maintenance on my cars (and sometimes friends' cars) at home. With 3 cars I change the brake fluid on each of the cars at least once a year and change the winter/summer tires depending on the season for a sportier car. So I don't always take the wheels off, but when I do I want to minimize rim damage as much as possible, especially on the good rims I have. These plastic coated bushings work well. is not broken or cracked (you'll never guess with foreign metals, although Sunex has a good reputation) and did a great job without scratching the rims. I don't have an Ugg Ugg and only use a broken bar/torque wrench so I can't comment on their ability to withstand everyday professional use with impact tools, but for the home mechanic who sees intermittent use these sockets have served me well. The plastic shell is relatively easy to remove if needed. The included socket holder is a great way to keep these sockets together and away from my other sockets so they don't just roll around in the box.
