I have a LarmTek 1080P webcam to film our services at our church. I do not care. It was simply mounted on a tripod and left alone. It's USB so it was plug and play. I use Linux and the camera was recognized immediately and works great with Open Broadcaster Software. Here's the problem: it's a fisheye lens. Everything in the center of the image looks fine, but the edges are VERY distorted. This is particularly noticeable to me, since the background wall consists of many vertical wooden strips. The previous camera I used had no distortion and the stripes were straight. You can **really** see image distortion with THIS camera. I was very disappointed. Instead I use a different camera. At the same time, I crop the image as much as possible to minimize distortion. TL; dr - If you just need a basic camera to work at close range (less than 2ft) then this is probably fine. But I bet you won't like the general plans.
