I think the most important thing to consider when buying a torch kit is how often you intend to use it. I work professionally on cars, but in the south. No snow, no salt. Very rarely do I see a rusted brake line. And the ones I see are cars owned by people who came from the north. So I can use this tool 2 times a year. In this case it is the perfect tool for this type of use. It's not a great tool. But it's a lot cheaper than a good hydraulic torch device like Eastwood or Mastercool. If you make a lot of metal lines, choose a better tool. This tool is difficult to use, but if you use it properly, it will create a near-perfect highlight. Make a nice clean cut, deburr the line, lubricate the adapters and place the line properly in the tool. All of these torch tools make it easy to ruin a torch. So of course you have to be careful what you do. The kit includes instructions for creating a bubble and double flashes, but you can watch a video online if that helps. Everything in the kit looks pretty good except for the pipe cutter. The blade was pretty dull right out of the box. I would invest in a better cutting tool. Of course, this one works, but it takes forever to cut, and you risk making a dirty cut with a dull blade. So for my needs (maybe twice a year) it's perfect. If you make hundreds of torches a year I would look at something else.
