shoes, they just always have a more stylish shoe than women, but if you want to gift your girlfriend or wife, i would recommend if it is a size 8 for women. I would go for the big kids a size 7 or 6. I'm a size 7 and they're a bit big but still fit well. I looked at the reviews before buying and was skeptical as the pictures said the slippers are for indoor/outdoor use and not a play shoe. Don't let the pictures in the reviews fool you,
