Review on Refurbished Black Garmin Unisex Adult Sportswatch: Enhanced Performance at a Great Value by Jon Hill

[No compensation was received in connection with this review.] I will try to focus my comments on this particular refurbished product and not on the Garmin Venu itself. However, it is strange that the product name is misspelled. It arrived in the box pictured on the Revain listing, in a box that contained the watch, charging cable and nothing else. I have a Garmin Instinct watch that uses the same cable, so this cable is a useful fallback. It also means I already had Garmin Connect installed on my phone, so setting up the Venu was easy and familiar. But setup might not be as easy for those less used to Garmin devices. The Venu watch was cosmetically flawless upon arrival; no trace anywhere. Installation and pairing with my phone was easy and painless. The watch's software has since been updated several times and Garmin Connect works the same with it as it does with my Garmin Instinct, which I didn't purchase refurbished. I installed multiple watch faces using Garmin Connect IQ and the process was easy. I played around with a few settings and everything seemed to respond as expected. With activity tracking enabled, I get about 6 days on a single charge. I usually disable this option and then get a little over 10 days on a single charge. Granted, my usage habits don't drain the battery much: I don't listen to music on the Venu, haven't tinkered with it all the time, and my preferred watchface doesn't make much of an impact. However, 6-10 days are sufficient; I would conclude that the battery is fine. In short, I haven't found anything wrong with this product yet: it looks legit and works like I paid full price. My reservations (and they are minor) relate to the design and construction of the watch and apply equally to a full price item. So 5 stars, this is one of the best purchases I've made from Revain. It's the best of many smartwatches I've tried, and by choosing a refurbished watch I got about $100 less than the regular Revain price with no cons. Perfect!
