Review on 5-Piece Large Aluminum Crochet Hooks Set - 7.0Mm, 8.0Mm, 9.0Mm, 10.0Mm And 12.0Mm Standard Sizes by Michael Nastanovich

I bought these hooks for a beginner crocheter who works primarily with bulky yarns so only needs the larger hooks. I was very disappointed to find out that the 8, 9, and 10mm hooks are all the same size (8.0mm) and the 12mm is only 10.0mm. The net result is a properly labeled 7.0mm hook, three 8.0mm hooks of which only one is correctly labeled, and a 10.0mm hook that is labeled as 12mm. They had already opened the gift and started using the hooks before I realized they weren’t properly labeled. A requested replacement had exactly the same problems so it will be going back.That said, the carrying case is very nice, as are the stitch markers and yarn needles which is why I gave it two stars. However, I now need to find hooks in the two missing sizes 9.0 and 12.0mm and the user will need to remember that the one labeled 12mm is actually only 10.0mm. Feels like a waste to have three out of five hooks that are incorrectly labeled. Very poor product.
