This one is much better than the one we had. He didn't get that far when she ran away. This one really goes further. All we have to do now is use vibrate or beep as she knows what's coming next. I have pieces of rubber on the metal because I don't want her to burn them. I like that it doesn't shock as much as the other one. We apply it to ourselves first to see what would happen if you did this to an animal. I think it's fair that we feel what she's doing. And the shock lasts 1 second. Not like the other one which would keep working after pressing the button. We love that we only use beep and vibration and don't use the shock part at all. She is a great dog and watchdog for my sons.
