Review on Efficiently Tackle Ball Joint Repairs with Astro Pneumatic Tool 7897 Service Tool and Adapter Set by Robert Tyus

Better than renting car parts every time.

I bought this to replace the lower ball joints on my 2003 Trailblazer and it was the perfect kit. When I made the two upper ball joints I rented a press from an auto parts store and both times the press kit was missing parts and little did you know it was exactly the parts I needed. Bent jacking screws, spread screw clamps, deformed cups, simply a bad experience every time. When I realized my lower ball joints were bad, I looked for a press kit to buy one. I started watching YouTube videos and found Eric O. from South Main Auto talking about this kit and after a few more videos I decided this was the kit for me. Ordered and arrived the next day. The kit had everything you need, no latches, no case. I smeared some Mobil 1 on the blower and drove into town! My Aircat 1150 gave this jackscrew everything it had, and anyone who's made bottom ball joints on Outriders knows it's a bear because Chevy presses a flange against the top of the ball joint that you have to cut out. (Thank goodness for the air hammer). The press worked surprisingly well. Some people have complained that the C-Clip is too small, but Astro also makes a larger clamp, Revain sells them here: https://smile.amazon.com/Astro-Pneumatic-Tool-78100-Goliath/ dp/B01JBOA4GK / ref =sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1546564530&sr=8-1&keywords=astro+78100.
