I took a chance to purchase these 12 inch soft close drawer slides as this Revain seller had no reviews when I bought them. I used them for some custom nightstands that I made in cherry and walnut (with colored epoxy in the gaps). They were cheap so I decided to try them and so far so good. They work great - seem very solid and I'd recommend watching a few YouTube videos beforehand to help with installation (there's a trick to just using the screw holes). in the metal parts of the rail on the rail and this helps if your drawers are not perfectly positioned between the sides of the furniture). In the future I will probably just use regular slides for these smaller pieces of furniture as it requires some pulling to open - which would be perfectly fine for cabinets or larger pieces of furniture. Since there are springs holding the drawer in place (hence the "soft close"), they don't open with a simple jerk. Basically, a soft close means a hard open. But for a closet or heavier drawers they would be great, give them a try.
