I tend to have low expectations when I buy a cheaper product. My only intention is for the item to work. Don't worry about how long it will last as I can't expect quality going cheaper. The box was already open and not sealed with tape, but I ignored it. Understand that packaging may be questionable during shipping and handling. But this pump seemed used and weathered. Not new and only 1 of 2 injectors is pumping air out. This isn't my first pump so I ordered tubing for myself. All I needed was a pump with two nozzles for brewing compost tea and oxygenated water. I almost never leave comments, usually only good reviews. But it annoyed me more than ever. The rule of thumb is if the packaging looks open and not new from the factory. Don't worry! I guess I'll see how the seller or Revain deal with it.
