You sent the wrong size.

Make sure you get the size you ordered. I used them on drawers that were larger than the slides I ordered so they wouldn't open all the way so I didn't immediately notice they were the wrong length. Ordered 22 inch slides. I opted for an extra pair on a 22" box and they were too short. I thought maybe I ordered wrong but I didn't. It's already past the return date so now I have to order 6 correct size sets :/ They're well kept in my pantry drawers so I'd be completely satisfied (especially with more detailed fitting instructions) if they were the right size.
