They are designed to fit 10 to 20 gallon tanks. I have two (one on each corner) for a gravel filter in a 15 gallon hospital aquarium. They're at max level and aren't blowing on a permanent resident of the tank, an African cichlid whose tail has been chewed off. The tail grew, but only from the middle to the bottom half, so a strong current could blow it away. This doesn't happen unless it swims right past the nozzle. They feed the gravel pack easily and efficiently. They are also very quiet and can be regulated in terms of performance, flow rate and ventilation. The package has a powerhead, a spreader, a tank rear mount, a suction mount, an air line, an adjustable air valve with a filament air filter inside, and a riser adapter.
