Review on πŸ’ͺ AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 Black Edition: 6-Core Processor with Unparalleled Performance by Wiktor Wiater ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A wonderful product, it's nice to use.

Even though I only tested the FX-6300, Amazon went ahead and published a review of both the FX-4300 and the FX-6300. This computer's processor was the main factor in my decision to purchase it. After reading the instructions and watching some overclocking demonstrations, I came to the conclusion that this is a great stone for a computer with a lot of potential for overclocking and, unlike older models, is not too hot or pricey. Unlike Hyperstumps, it is still relevant in the present day. It's common in today's low-cost setups, but if you're starting from scratch, you should look into purchasing a PC with a Ryzen 5 1600 or Ryzen 7 2800 processor. The purchase of antiquated hardware that is anticipated to become irrelevant even in budget assemblies in 2-3 years is preferable to the immediate purchase of a base with strong potential for the future.

Pros
  • Turbo-Boost (for those who do not want to take a steam bath with overclocking on their own), low price (especially on the used market nowadays), excellent potential for overclocking these days, does any Hyperstump and i3, can sometimes be cheaper than the overclocked i5-4590.
Cons
  • When overclocked, it performs poorly compared to the i7, i9, Xeon E3-E5, and Ryzen 5-7 in the 1600 MHz and higher range.
