This camera can take great pictures on my iPhone and Android tablet. However, it is missing in several places. The RJ45 connector and the reset button are fully open. For something that's about to go out, it's a failure. The WI-FI connection for this camera outside is terrible. It's 40 feet from my powerful MI-MO router. Another failure. Brains will not or will not survive a reboot or a power outage. When it comes back it doesn't connect to wifi for some reason. Even if I can get it to be less than 1.50 meters from the router. A wired connection is required for access. Now I run a Cat6 cable through a window there. I can't wait for my wife to ask what that cable is that goes out the window to the patio. The WLAN range appears mediocre. It was difficult for other cameras to connect to the deck. It's almost a straight line to the router, which is in the room next to the deck. My phone and tablet have no trouble connecting in the same place, but maybe it's some sort of Bermuda WiFi triangle. Considering my expectations for the WI-FI performance of this camera, I have to say that the actual WI-FI performance is not satisfactory. The camera did NOT come with an SD card installed. The card should be 16 GB in size. At least this model had easier access to the slot on the back and I didn't have to disassemble the camera to insert the card. Not as advertised, another bug. On the other hand, it has a very good video image. There are many settings that I like because they give you a lot of control over the camera. It's been out 24 hours and seems to be decomposing a little, like a radioactive isotope after rain. I'll see how the next few days go. If he dies or needs a mercy killing, he will return. Too bad, this product had the potential to be a really great product. ---- Update ---- REOLink Support has emailed a firmware update that fixes my issue. The camera is unavailable after a power off or weekly reboot, which is the default. I also found RJ45 silicone dust caps that sealed the network connection fairly well. I also bought a new AC2200 tri-band router and placed it 25 feet closer to the camera. Now it supports wireless connection and works well to view with a sharp setting at 4k resolution. After having this camera for a while, fixing it, and spending $130 on a new high-performance router (any excuse to upgrade), I decided I liked it. I have raised my rating to 4 stars.
