I have researched bark collars carefully, read many reviews and wanted the most ethical form of training. I wanted to use vibration because I didn't want to make my pup not go outside. I liked the "Beep + Vibration" bell modes, which allow you to adjust the intensity. Thankfully, I never had to go beyond vibrate mode. My dog stopped barking almost immediately (TOTALLY INJURED). When he barked, he was weak and muffled. bearable. I have now loaned it to my neighbor and his previously annoying, constantly barking dog is fine too.
