Excellent filters - don't forget to rinse
These are quality filters that do a very good job of removing scale, rust particles etc. from domestic water Quarters. . But be sure to follow the instructions and turn on the cold water tap for a few minutes after installing the filter. The first few gallons through the filter are milky white and almost opaque. I'm not sure what it is, but I wouldn't drink it, cook with it, shower with it, or wash anything with it. It's important that you flush the faucet with cold water to prevent this crap from entering your water heater. Once the water is clear, stay that way and you're good to go.
