Review on ๐Ÿ”ถ DEWALT DXV04T Yellow Portable 4 Gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum Cleaner by Bhanu Hays

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A quick look at some of the key features

As a stand alone vacuum this thing has great amazing power, is fairly quiet (although even my old ones were probably quieter when they were new) and has the typical Dewalt Reliability that I have learned to trust in construction. There are few things about him that really make him cute. For starters, the long-lasting, washable filter is a great feature, the design is premium, but the included hose is useless. It's the same as a retractable garden hose, sounds great in theory but in practice you lose all your suction and struggle with the hose and get tired. Then you put your old hose on and realize it's an odd 1 7/8 size that doesn't fit anything you have, so you look at the new hoses and realize they're 30 US -$ to use all your tools hose, a $15 tool kit with adapter etc etc. So I figured I'd upgrade to Dewalt a bit but ended up spending a lot more than I expected to force it with my existing hardware. Another great feature is the integrated extension cord. I attached the 50 foot cord directly to my saw so it's always ready to go when I pull it out, but the winder on this Dewalt doesn't have a quick release buckle so you have to wind 20 feet and then unwind 20 feet to close it use, so I caught I never start using it myself. If they had left out an adapter for full sized brush heads, a built in brush head and the retractable hose this thing would have gotten 5 stars but since I had to buy them for another $50 and now have useless tools and hoses at home I can't give 5 stars give.
