some good mugs for camping. I bought these and several others in addition to all of them in a camping box and created the Great Mug Challenge by testing my wife and girls on 12 different mugs. They rated the ability to hold, the likelihood of spills, the feel and ease of drinking, the ease of use and temperature retention when holding hot beverages, etc. Overall, this mug wasn't bad. There was simply nothing that impressed her. The famous brand's closest competitor (and overall winner) was the GSI Infinity mug (non-insulated). This mug is smaller and its handle is less ergonomic and can be compared to a children's mug. Perhaps they were also biased about color differences. For the price between the two, I'd say the results make sense. A good cup, but not spectacular.
