It's less than the advertised 12 oz but it's fine for my purposes. I just wanted a plastic coffee mug to hold my standard 8 ounce Java and it fits perfectly. It actually holds 10 ounces to the brim and comfortably 8 ounces. In the attached photo it is shown with 8 ounces of coffee and exactly 8 ounces of water in the ceramic coffee mug it is replacing. We bought a pair of these microwavable cups for my mum who is struggling with Parkinson's and she just loves them. With only so much weight to carry in her hand, this small and light mug gives her the freedom to enjoy her coffee every day without fear of the mug slipping, falling and/or breaking.
