, I have naturally almost black thick Asian hair that is heavily processed and toned to the sky so I can be blonde. Not just sandy blonde. platinum blonde. Now every bottle blonde knows that purple shampoo is cute baby Jesus in the manger, a necessity they MUST have if they don't want to look like a wannabe ginger with greasy orange hair. It's just a bright life. I've tried pretty much every purple shampoo in the world, ranging from $7 to $70 a bottle. Previously, the top contenders were Davine's Alchemic Silver Shampoo, L'Orรฉal Shimmering Lights Purple Shampoo, and now THIS. Fanola takes over and wins by far when it comes to tinting even the toughest brass. Serious. Your grandmother needs it. You need it. GIRL. Buy shares in this company. The photos really speak for themselves. My package arrived tightly sealed - no mess. I think they realized they needed to fix the shipping method and it seems to have worked. I opted for the smaller $10 bottle which is a bargain! You get a lot of product! The shampoo itself is the darkest (almost black) purple I have ever seen. The consistency is a bit more liquid than, for example, Herbal Essences Shampoo. The smell is a bit strange. Partial chemical / black liquorice overlaid with a pleasant salon scent. There is nothing unbearable about this, of course, and it will pass as soon as you wash your own shampoo. I smelled way worse than the purple shampoos. It is very good. Now the instructions and most people will tell you to wash and leave on for 1-5 minutes. I don't believe in following the rules. Spirit. I tried it on wet hair in the shower and left it on for about 10 minutes. Great results after just one application! And then, because I love a light lavender shade, I tried it on DRY hair, drenched it almost black and left it on for a full 30 minutes. Rinse until transparent. And you know what? I LOVE IT. The lavender isn't strong at all, but there isn't a hint of yellow/copper in my hair. I swear it even brightened my roots! Pros: 1) Definitely 100% will work for you. 2) Does absolutely what it's supposed to and does it well. 3) Worth every penny (you get a lot of product). 4) You can choose strength/power. Cons: 1) It will get your hands dirty. Not really. Put on gloves. Welcome back. It won't stain your forehead, ears or anything else. The skin cells on your palms are similar to the cells in your hair and different from the rest of your body. So don't worry about anything other than your palms/nails. Glove! 2) It's quite drying like most purple shampoos. Apply a good conditioner and apply it in the shower after rinsing off. Pour in some coconut oil. Moroccan oil hair mask seems to work wonders for me. 3) You become addicted to white/super light blonde hair. Photos in order: after, during, before, before, before, the very first time I used Fanola for just 10 minutes.
