Review on 🎨 SPEEDBALL Mona Lisa Art Gesso Board, 4" x 4" | Enhancing Creativity with White Gesso Surface by Kelly Caballes

The description states that this panel has a small tooth and is suitable for oils and all media. Upon opening it, I found that it actually has a smooth, glossy finish that feels like silk to me. The label says it might be advisable to plaster it and then sand it to give it more bite! I am very disappointed and am now aligning it to have a tooth which I think will be necessary to use with oils. methods I don't know. All of the other brand slabs I've ordered in the past have had a more appropriate matte finish that seems to have a reasonable tooth. I do not recommend this panel for oil painting!
