I have two problems with this cheese cutter. First of all, the description clearly states that the slicer comes with two spare wires, but only one spare wire is included in the scope of delivery. A more serious problem is the cutting wire. First, the wire gauge is much thicker than I've seen on similar slicers, which makes the slicer tend to shred drier cheeses like very sharp white cheddar. More seriously, the wire that cuts the cheese doesn't stay taut. After a few slices it loosens and bulges. I tried to tighten and secure the wire better with the screws that attach it to the frame. After two tries I came to the conclusion that this is a design flaw. As a result, this device is almost useless, at least for drier cheeses. A smaller (thinner) cutting wire may help.
