A Little Tricky To Work With

We used this for a little different application.we put it on a ceiling instead of a wall. We were trying to cover a very old, bad ceiling without having to tear the ceiling out. 1920 house.and absolutely nothing is level or square.and it was a ceiling. So having said that.which is not the fault of the paper, it was very frustrating to put up and took two people a very long time to cover an approx 8x8 room ceiling. Because the room isn't square or level.the paper wouldn't lay out to follow the edges. On half of one wall end, it is flush to the edge on one end, and about 1/2 inch from covering on the other. Also, it was really hard to get smooth when you first started your piece/row and we kept pulling it off and replacing it.which stretched it.which means it will never be totally smooth and will have some wrinkles. We sort of wanted to scream. I will say, it does adhere well, even after pulling it off several times. Your surface needs to be SMOOTH (not textured) and CLEAN (we washed the walls down with warm water and vinegar (but you could also use TSP). All in all, it is a huge improvement over what WAS there. I may have enough left to attempt the back-spalsh in the kitchen. We are amateur do-it-yourselfers and we found it challenging to work with.but again.it is probably meant for walls. Since it has a rough pattern, most of the wrinkles blend in unless you are really studying it. We like the finished look. For us, it was a more economical way to solve a bigger problem then we could afford to fix.
