Review on 12oz Unicorn Insulated Stainless Steel Thermos with Straw for Girls and Boys – Snug Kids Water Bottle by Susan Oliver

Love this item. I really really. But one thing I hate about it, I hate it so much it only deserves one star for its major design flaw. The top CANNOT be properly cleaned. You can remove the bottom of the straw and clean it. But the tip of the straw cannot be removed from the top cover. (Or, if possible, it takes a lot more strength than the average mom!) I've tried so many times to push the top straw out, but I haven't moved an iota. You can clean the top part of the straw, but on the underside of this cap is a giant transparent piece that has a water-holding straw embedded in it. It doesn't matter how you wash it - in the dishwasher or by hand. You'll get the water behind that transparent part and it's not going anywhere. Mine is moldy now and I can't clean it. You can try to open this section; It's the same rubber material as the straw, but you can't remove it. Try as I can, I can't erase everything. Of course, I don't let my kids drink from a modeling bottle. It is a pity that the manufacturer did everything right. It's the perfect bottle if it wasn't for that. But this is such a serious problem that it renders the bottle unusable. So frustrated because we wanted to order another one we loved so much! :(
