Review on πŸ‘œ Weston Vacuum Sealer Food Bags: Quart Size, 100 Count, 8x12 – Transparent and Durable by Bethany Green

These bags are a must!

They take much less time to use than a roll with two sides to seal. I also think the bottom seal works better. One reviewer said that with a roll that has 3 extra inches on BOTH sides, you'll likely end up paying the same for the packs as you did for the roll. I tend to agree. I use a roller but for unusual shapes that don't fit in these bags. This summer I pickled 1/2 beef. I found myself reaching out for them a lot more than anything else. They are made of thicker plastic, 100% sealed and stay sealed. Enough left over (if you seal the front) to use the bag again, so it's definitely worth the price. This particular pack is great and at such a better price than what is listed on the pack. Btw, since these bags are all the same size with very small rims, I can put 1 to 1 1/2 pounds of a hamburger in a bag, mash the hamburger, seal, and then stack the bags vertically (like a book on a shelf) in a long rectangular metal mesh basket that fits on my freezer shelf. That way I get more beef in the freezer and it doesn't slide off the shelf. I found a metal mesh basket cheap enough - $7 - so I outfitted my entire freezer with labeled "drawers" that sit on top of my freezer shelves. Chicken in one, fish in another, hamburgers, nuts, cheese - each has its own "boxes". I no longer have to stand in front, blowing out cold air while digging for something, freezing my fingers off. These bags fit in perfectly.
