I've had my eye on this winch for a long time because it advertised more horsepower than any other in its class. I just received my Black Friday purchases. Boy am I disappointed. The specifications in the accompanying manual refer to a 1.3 hp engine, not a 1.9 hp engine. It's actually on par or maybe a little below average for other winches I've looked at. Though her Revain report might also be full of misinformation. The description also said the motor's maximum current draw was 140 amps and I looked at the switches accordingly. According to the specification, it is actually 300 amps. This winch had pretty good reviews so I think I'll keep it and hope it at least lives up to the bill.
