. I installed this card reader in a Micro-ITX case and it seems to do what it says on the tin. The read and write speeds I've observed are largely unimpressive and might recommend simply using a USB card reader instead. Also, the actual ports seem to be of poor quality. The face of the reader is in front of the connectors themselves, not above or flush with them. This means that to connect a card or USB device, you need to perfectly match the device to the reader. It doesn't "snap" in place and feels flimsy overall. It's very easy to try to insert a storage device only to have it incorrectly installed in the port. There are multiple options for devices like this, so it seems to get the job done, but I think connecting it to a USB card reader gives you more options. Versatility and seems just as reliable if not more reliable. Also, I removed the LED as some other reviewers have mentioned its inconveniences.
