Review on ISpring ICEK Connection Installation Reverse by Ahmed Jackson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice kit, depending on your project you may need extras

The Revain app sucks and doesn't save drafts. After it crashed and lost my previous detailed review, I'll try to recreate some of them. First of all, this kit contains seemingly high-quality components. Insert locking clamps are a much better and nicer design than the regular C clamps that you get from most others. The adapter with compression for push-in fittings is insanely rare. But the instructions didn't joke that you need 5 or 6 turns of teflon tape to prevent leaks, which isn't included. Teflon tape is generally much wider than compression fittings, so make sure it is only twisted on the threads and in no way interferes with the opening of the fitting. It would be nice if they included a small amount of the right size tape. Compression fittings do NOT require a receptacle at all, but the adapter fitting is too deep. Someone badly designed. It hits the bottom of the utility or refrigerator inlet with the air before it can compress the o-ring. Since the teflon tape in the threads is the only thing keeping you from the flooded kitchen, one can only hope. Teflon tape holds properly over time. Anyway, I already had reverse osmosis running through the wall to the fridge, so I replaced the stupid braided stainless steel tubing with the 1/4" OD hose from this kit and added my own 90 degree elbow fittings and T- Added piece.to better lean against the wall and split the line to weigh down my De'Longhi ESAM3300 super automatic espresso/coffee maker which doesn't come with hard options from the factory.Overall I'm happy with this kit.I have not used all the parts and had to add some other parts separately for my project.
