Part of the reason this helmet is more aerodynamic is because of the helmet's reduced profile. In other words, it has an awkward oval shape and is slightly narrower than other Giro helmets. If you want to wear a hat or balaclava underneath and are unsure if it will fit, you might want to look elsewhere. The build quality is okay, there is more foam beating around the edges than I would have expected from helmets like Giro Air Attack or Kask Line, for example. If you have this helmet on sale it is a good helmet that breathes well thanks to the Rocklock brow design. If you don't like this helmet probably look elsewhere, it's a lot of noise.
