Review on πŸ”ͺ Xuron Micro-Shear Flush Cutter - Tapered Tip 410T - Precision Cutters by Stephen Pendergrass

Great for small models

These are fantastic model knives. I collect 1/144 scale Gundams. If you've built them before, you know how many SMALL details there are. They cut plastic frames very well. There is still some trimming to be done, but nothing is perfect. One of the reviewers said that after cutting out the details of the model would remain on the sprue. I didn't believe them. But it is true. I think they just leave the thinnest plastic thread connecting them, but the parts just come off the sprue, no problem. One issue (not enough to deduct a star) is that I wish they had a little spring to break them. . Apparently they should, there's a bit of metal sticking out of one of the handles, but I can't understand what it's for. I will tell you to be careful with that. The blades are slightly offset. This is a feature, not a bug. But that means that if you press the wrong blade against the sprue, the other blade will push some of the plastic out of the part. I learned this the hard way, but learned quickly. Again, not enough to deduct a star from this tool, but a slight annoyance. This tool is well finished and oiled. I bought two.
