Like a Rock Best in Office Electronics

As others have said, just a standard power cord to the wall (sorry) and it would be REALLY cool if they bothered to put a rotary control on and then the tones spend, but maybe it could be overkill. But not to me. It seems an odd combination of old and new. Like everything in the days when phones went from dial to tone, this phone never existed in the "real world" so it looks a bit chunky but retro looking at the same time. The 1928 house I live in is a regular telephone. Its weight is enough to knock someone into a coma with a whistle, like in an old movie. Seriously, if this thing falls, it will scratch the wooden floor, break a leg, or kill a small animal. Choose your location carefully. This is the kind of phone that STAYS where you put it. You won't be the one to say "Oops," and the other party will never hear your phone crackle when it falls to the floor because you've pulled the phone cord too tight. That's because when you pull the phone cord, the phone just doesn't move. It's probably lead coated for that weight these days, but it reminds me of how those old phones used to feel (they weigh about 3 ounces now). Telephone calls used to be expensive and nobody spent enough money. When making calls, I wanted to hang the phone on my shoulder, so the uncomfortable handset was out of place. The phone mimics that miserable handset - it's not their fault. Modern phones have redesigned the phone for convenience, but this one is based on a phone designed for functionality only. Don't buy it for long talks. Overall it looks great in an old house but this phone is worth buying for its looks and functionality.
