My bandsaw (Grizzly, but any 7x12 horizontal/vertical bandsaw) is about 22 inches tall and no one puts a roll keep it short. None of the options can easily be changed to be shorter without welding or a lot of awesome rework. I cut about 2 inches off the inner and outer tubes before assembly and it works great. It's now about an inch shorter than intended, allowing me to raise it to the correct table height. The height adjustment clamp should have a handle instead of a screw. The adjustment clamp was slightly tight at the top even when the clamp was fully loosened. You have to tap it lightly with a hammer or a board to make it stand up, then move about as freely as you expect. It's durable but expensive. It costs a lot more than cheap lightweight alternatives, but it's the only option if you just want to trim it down.
